Kyo-Hayashiya in Kyoto

We ordered the green tea cheese cake, chocolate cake, parfait, ice cream jello, and shaved ice. Everything was mediocre except for the shaved ice. This place has a rule that requires every patron to order at least one item, be ware.

The green tea is rich and delicious. The green tea chiffon cake was fluffy and easy to eat! If you like Matcha agar, you will be a fan of those who like Matcha. There are many kinds of tea in the shop and you can buy it. It will be hot from now on, so I would like to go eat when I go to Kyoto!

Amazing food and view!

This place was okay. Totally empty on a Thursday night though. Located at the 6th floor of a building near the river at Gion. Every person has to have an order as a minimum. Matcha soft serve with jelly and the Anmitsu were good.

Hiei.

Best dessert place in Kyoto. Anything on the menu is good. Great place for couples to chill and view the river. It's on the 6th floor, take the elevator near arrow root.

Legitimately delicious. Try the shaved ice dishes, and if you're brave enough, go for the giant Yukiyama. The views are wonderful and the service is excellent. Sometimes there can be a short wait to get a table. It's on the sixth floor and you need to take an elevator to find this hidden gem, but it's outstanding.

I was in GW, but I was relatively open around noon. Price of parfait is cheaper than other stores, but is satisfied with solid volume and taste of rich green tea. There are many types of tea and you can relax. There were a lot of people who came to the store alone, but I thought that one person could use it freely because there is a counter seat.

English menu and speaking staffFantastic little caffe with a number of sweets, cakes, teas, coffees and a number of other things If you are looking for a place to sit down have a break and over look the streets, This is a nice little quaint shop that would suit your needs. It is a little convoluted to get to. You need to go upstairs and in an elevator, but it is worth the mini problem of getting lost for a couple seconds.

Nice views of the Kamo River from this tricky-to-find dessert shop on the 6th floor of a largely unmarked building (see the sign right by the elevator). The matcha ice cream here is excellent with super strong flavors.

Nothing can beat a good matcha sweets! Went here and the one in Tokyo. Sooooo tasty! definitely would go again when in Japan!

Their matcha parfait is delicious and a decent price! Really enjoyed the view of the water as well and the nice layout of the cafe.

I had the green tea chiffon cake and cold green tea set. It was pretty good but I tried my friend's green tea shaved ice and it was amazing! I'd recommend getting the shaved ice desserts at this place.

I stopped by for shopping on New Year's Eve. The view from the window was good, and the whole thing was delicious. The attached tea leaves boiled in Tsukuda also became a good accent.I received Ogura Zenzai, but there were two big rice cakes, and there was a lot.

Very good prices, delicious and generous portions! Highly recommend. You have to go up the elevators to the 6th floor.

Matcha chiffon cake and anmitsu are pretty good, but not so much the milk based matcha drinks or cheese cake. Great view of the city from the 6th floor.

View of Kamo river and excellent green tea and tea sweets. Not crowded. Need to look up the address and floor if you want to find it.
